Pricing questions, answered.

Is there really a free trial?
Yes. 14 days, no card required, and nothing is charged until you choose to continue. The trial covers one location and up to 5 team members, which is enough to run a real shop through it rather than just click around.
What happens at the end of the trial?
Nothing automatic. We don't hold a card, so there's no silent charge on day 15 — you tell us you want to continue and we set the plan up. If you'd rather not, the trial simply stops and you owe nothing.
What counts as a location?
One shop unit, whatever's inside it. Two counters, three benches and five staff in the same building is one location. It's a separate location when it's a separate address, with its own stock and its own till.
What if I add a shop halfway through the month?
You pay for what you're actually running. Add a location and it's charged from the point you add it, not from the start of the month. Close one and it comes off your next invoice.
Why is TechBuff priced per location?
Each shop you run gets its own till, stock, tickets and reporting. Pricing per location keeps it fair — a single-shop owner never subsidises a chain, and larger groups only pay for the branches they actually operate.
What do the add-ons cost?
Need more than a plan includes? Extra locations are £60/mo each and extra team members are £12/mo each. Add or remove them at any time — your next invoice simply reflects what you're using.
Am I tied into a contract?
No lock-in on Starter or Professional — they're billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you like. Enterprise runs on a custom annual agreement with an SLA. Annual billing saves you two months on any plan.
Can you help me move my data across?
Getting off spreadsheets and paper is the whole point. Tell us what you're on today and we'll help you get your products, customers and stock across — Enterprise includes hands-on onboarding and data migration.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It's yours. You can export any customer's full record from inside the Service while your account is active, and we'll help you get your data out if you close the account. We never sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.
Do I need a card reader or any hardware from you?
No. TechBuff runs in a browser on whatever you already have — a laptop, a tablet or the shop PC. A thermal receipt printer is the only thing worth buying, and it's your choice of make.
What am I actually paying for as you build more?
New features on your plan arrive as they ship, at no extra cost. We publish what we're working on openly on the roadmap so you can see what's live today and what's coming, rather than guessing from a feature list.
